You know what I love? Like capital L Love? Love even more than lobster rolls and summers in Greece? Convenience. Convenience is the best, you guys. I love shopping online because I can do it from under my huge chunky knit blanket and only have to crawl out from under said cream and baby blue blanket to open my door and get my package when it's delivered. Living my best life for sure.
You know what else I love? When everything I ordered fits and the quality is Good (capital G). Honestly, quality over everything - it's so important. I like to think of everything as an investment piece, because if I loved it enough to buy it then I want to be able to wear it year after year. Everything on my Black Friday list is beyond chic, no doubt, but I really want to emphasize the quality for these pieces because I was actually astounded when I got my hands on them. 100%, the clothing from GOZON is the best quality of anything I've come across ESPECIALLY for the price (Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale Alert: EVERYTHING on the site will be $5, $10, and $20!).
Starting with this Fab (capital F) fur vest. I have wanted a fur vest since Rachel Zoe made them cool - like 2007? - and I have never been able to find the perfect one. They've all always been "too" for me - too bulky, too fuzzy, too short, too not the right color etc. I'm like the Goldielocks of fur vest and I finally found the one that was just right! I'm tall, so the length is good for me - especially because I'm a bit short-waisted and it keeps me from looking compact. I love the alternating black and white, because literally everyone looks good in black, white, or some combination of the two, and the contrast is striking. Also, there are pockets! Check, check, check - I finally found the perfect fur vest and in the 100 times I've worn it the past week, it has barely shed. If I wore pants, I would definitely rock this with jeans. Since I'm a weirdo who doesn't wear pants, I went with a black turtleneck sweater dress and it was a perfect match. Proving my theory that legs don't even really get cold, especially if you're all warm up top.
Of course, my Black Friday list is heavily inspired by the 90s. The Pom Pom Knit Hat + Swing Dress is a total nod to Cher Horowitz. No one did subtle fur accessories and details like our girl from Clueless. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that everyone has lost their minds over this hat and I've been stopped multiple times while wearing it. It's literally cuter in person, and it's Cute (capital C) in pictures. Once upon a time, I ran a knitwear line, so I'm very picky about my knits. I love that I've worn this hat and it hasn't snagged or lost it's shape at all. It's not too tight (no headaches) or too loose (no falling off), it just sits pretty until you're ready to take it off.
Swing dresses are dope - here's why: they flatter every form because of the tapering at the bust/shoulders and flare at the wait/hips. You don't end up with a saggy sack shape because the cut of the dress is building a silhouette for you. I actually really like this style in a solid color, especially for fall/winter, but the suede elbow patches on this dress are such an cute detail. I know I'm very boho, but I dig the preppy flair it adds. Also, it has pockets - gimme gimme gimme.
You know what a fashion miracle is? When you're shooting outside and get caught in a freak rainstorm/cold front in Los Angeles (where it rains 8 times a year) BUT you're shooting in a cozy plaid Boyfriend Shirt that happens to be sherpa-lined. So nice try bizarre weather, but I was still warm and toasty despite braving the elements. Tbh, the only reason I ever like having a boyfriend is so I can steal things from his closet, and now I don't even need to do that. Online shopping is my new boyfriend. Seriously, we're very happy together and seriously, this shirt is so comfy. You can't love Cher Horowitz without loving plaid, and I love that the lining is thick, but not bulky and doesn't add a lot of volume to the shape. I've actually been taking the best naps in this shirt, it just kind of lulls me to sleep.
Full disclosure: I only wanted a bomber jacket because it seems like every other blogger has a bomber jacket and they just look so cool! Did I ever mention that I'm literally so easily swayed by anything? So my final Black Friday pick from GOZON is this super chic lightweight bomber in navy blue. You guys know I love zipper details, and turns out the shorter style of a bomber jacket is good for my short waist. I have a very good feeling that my mom may try to take this one for herself when I get home for the holidays next month, so I'm just going to go ahead and order her one in burgundy or olive so she'll leave my jacket alone (she won't). Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Shopping, my babes!
