So, admittedly, I'm usually Pro-Grinch during the holidays. For the past few years, I haven't been too keen on decking the halls and fa-la-la-la-la-ing. Christmas Carols made me cringe, and I didn't believe I had the strength to see one more couple go to New York and get engaged in Times Square or on the lock bridge in Paris (RIP). Luckily though, this year, it seems that everyone is finally married off AND the Christmas Spirit has found it's way back to me - really mostly through whiskey-spiked egg nog, christmas cookies, and diamonds which speaking of...
I can't think of a better way to kick off my holiday gift guide then with Pyoor Jewelry! Pronounced like pure, this is the dainty dreamy jewelry for which we've all been waiting. These delicate little confections whipped up in 14k solid gold and dusted with diamonds are so sweet. They're also versatile, I went with a smaller size in the Duet Solitaire and Style Band because I can't shake this midi ring obsession, Also, because I can wear them as pinky rings which I SWEAR is going to be a thing in 2016. There's also necklaces, bracelets, and earrings crafted with solid gold or pearls if diamonds and rings aren't your thing. Which come on, diamond and rings are everyone's thing. For anyone that loves to layer, this is the jewelry line for you AND because 'tis the season to give and give back, a portion of the proceeds from your purchase will be donated to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. I know what you're thinking, "Mickey, you don't wear jeans!" and you're not wrong. However, I am seriously considering a switch to the dark denim side to match this adorable mason jar by Marquia Makes. Also, topknot game too strong so I'm already more than halfway there. I love this handcrafted baby because it's the perfect travel size to throw in my bag and refill with coffee allday while I'm running from meeting to meeting and shoot to shoot. I also may fill it with jelly beans from time to time because a girl's gotta find time to eat! This is just one of a number of handmade goods available from Marquia Makes including knit headbands and adorable prints. File this under: stocking stuffer status.
If you've been following along with my blog for a while now, you know I love red and I LOVE Kismet Cosmetics. Here's what I thought I didn't love: liquid lipstick. Turns out, I was 100% wrong. I thought it would be hard to put on because I don't have the steadiest of hands, but it slid on like a velvety gloss and stayed in place. Unlike other liquids I have tried, the ruby Speakeasy from the Succulent Collection didn't dry immediately to a matte finish. I could go in a clean up any excess lipstick without staining my face for the remainder of the day. Red is my power color and I think everyone should wear a red lip now and then. It looks good on everyone, I swear to Choupette Lagerfeld. If this bold, vintage-inspired red isn't your speed then check out a few of the muted and more berry reds that Kismet carries. It's not Christmas without a caramel apple cider from Starbucks or decorating a tree. It wouldn't be me without trying to add a little sparkle to all of my daily activities. The Sparkle Bangles from Bollywood Chic (perfect name, no?) are the easiest way to glam up the everyday. This stack of four glitters so beautiful, pictures actually can't do them justice. They're bracelets that deserve movement and light to show off their best. I throw them on especially when I'm running on 2 hours of sleep or have been traveling all day. I've learned the the more sparkle in the jewelry, the less people will focus on the RBF of a sleep-deprived woman. File this under: a gift for your mom/sister/bff that you can borrow too.
My Hello Gorgeous Tray by Allyson Johnson is the happiest little thing in my apartment. It's also the most versatile. Sometimes it's on my desk holding jewelry, sometimes it's perched on my bookshelf and radiating a little happiness around my apartment, and sometimes it's in the bed next to me holding the essentials for whatever project I'm working on that day. I just love having something bright yellow around, the best accent color for your home in my opinion. Also, it's not possible to have too many polka dotted-heavy accoutrement in your life. I'm very particular about what I bring into my house, I believe everything has a vibration that will affect your most precious space, and I fell in love with this tray at first sight and knew it would be only a positive addition to my home. Explore this shop, there are so many amazing home and lifestyle pieces to choose from in beautiful colors. File this under: Treat Yo Space.
Saving the best for last like Vanessa Williams over here - well, I may be a bit biased about the Rather Be Brunching tee from Kanan & Willow since I designed it with them as part of our F Word collaboration. Can you tell? Grey shade? Check. Off-the-shoulder? Check. About brunch? Check! File this under: My Gift To You because until Christmas Day the #RBBtee is 15% off using code rbbholidays! A thank you for coming and staying for this crazy style and travel journey I'm on and being the best companions along the way.
