Coachella is a really stylish marathon, not a sprint, and I think I finally got it all figured out this year - third time's the charm, after all. It all comes down to the downtime. Drink your water, take naps, EAT, and know that it's totally normal that you don't want to stay at a day party for more than 2 hours in 92 degree desert heat. Also, wear sunscreen and lip balm! My face is currently in shambles, so this weekend will be all about restorative care with all the goodies I snagged from the ULTA set-up at PopSugar this year.
Speaking of - I think everyone by now knows my version of Coachella is something I call Coachellite. All parties, no festival. Lady Gaga is cool and all, but one of my waking nightmares is being in a massive crowd of people with music being blasted at me. Hard pass. Instead I twirled my pretty bohemian garbs through parties with Amuse Society, PopSugar, Lucky Brand, and TOPSHOP. I ate, drank, and was merry and only very lightly creeped on Tyler Posey when I saw him by the pool at one event. What an adorable angel.
I love kicking off Coachella weekend with Amuse - always such a lowkey party with the best drinks and vibes. I had this Gypsy05 dress (shop all of my looks below) for a few weeks and it took everything in me to save it for the party because it's so cute and also super comfortable. I still very much have that first day of school mentality where I want to wear something new immediately. I made it though, and it was the perfect dress for kicking back by the pool. Next year, I will bring a swimsuit (I always forget) so I can float away on a swan when someone asks me how many followers I have on Instagram. Byyyyeeeeee.
Day 2 brought me to the PopSugar Cabana Club and Lucky Desert Jam and I brought out my outfits from Shop Three Little Birds (my insane boho bellbottoms) and Tiare Hawaii (my tropical fluttering floral dress). PopSugar was totally gorgeous and stocked full of all the products you've been dying to try (plus the best pork sliders and watermelon cocktails of life). Lucky Desert Jam now has a special place in my heart because the DJ and location killed it. It's also the first time I felt like I got to sit and relax in weeks. The party wound down so calmly, just people chilling out on roudies and watching the sun start to fall behind the huge desert mountains surrounding Palm Springs.
Day 3 was my unproblematic fave. By the time you wake up on Sunday, at least in my experience, you feel a sense of calm vs the sense of urgency you experience the other two days to see, taste, and hear it all. I got a last minute RSVP to The Escape by TOPSHOP TOPMAN and was expecting a leisure afternoon, which they totally delivered on at the UNBELIEVABLE Korakia Pensione resort I have been dying to go to for years. That was reason enough alone to attend, but TOPSHOP TOPMAN did it just right. Amazing food (I had all the caprese salad), a perfect art wall for photos, shopping, GLITTER TEARS from The Gypsy Shrine, and the most comfortable and boho chic oasis of a lounge in which to just generally sit around and be fabulous. How fabulous? Extremely fabulous in my super soft and impossibly flattering cosmic tie-dye INDAH maxi dress - the purple, blue, and green splashes of color are even more unreal in person. Major thank you to the babes at CLD PR for getting me right for festival season this year!
I could not have asked for a better weekend, starting my countdown to Coachella 2018 now!
