As part of my never-ending journey of constantly be inappropriately dressed for a situation - this is what I wore to go explore La Jolla Cove. La Jolla Cove. A park and beach. What do normal people wear, Mickey? They wear shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. This is a lesson I somehow have to re-learn every time I go somewhere - and one I immediately forget by the time I'm getting dressed again. So I was a little overdressed, BUT my bohemian dress from Zaful and my bright blue Amy bag from Oliver Bilou could not have matched the scenery better!
Since I got my mermaid hair back, I've been a little concerned that some colors will clash with it. This pretty maroon was one of them, but it somehow didn't make my hair look more red or too harshly contrasted. This willowy dress, with it's intricate print and bell sleeves, is such a favorite because of how light and comfortable it is, how prettily it sways while I'm walking, and how perfect the colors are for fall.
I haven't gotten a new bag in over a year, which is very unlike me. I think maybe I was just waiting for the perfect one, and this blue baby came into my life right before my trip - a sign for sure! Are zippers on a bag an accessory? A necessity accessory, I suppose. I love that this bag has a lot of zipper detail, and that it has the most playful blue suede tassels on the front. The best part, the very best part, is that it has four metal feet on the bottom so it can't get dirty no matter how long I have it resting on a wall so I can get the most perfectly dreamy shot of the ocean.
