I think it's because I am a child of the 90s that I never got over certain decade-defining things. Like crushed velvet mini dresses, flared jeans (a 90s 70s revival), Lip Smacker in Berry Peach, and Jared Leto (Jordan Catalano 4eva). I'm usually pretty good at not indulging in my nineties nostalgia, but the one thing I cannot help doing to this day is wearing my sleeves pulled down over my hands. Remember the iconic inaugural issue of Teen People (RIP) with Jennifer Love Hewitt looking cozy af on the cover? That's me, all the time once fall hits.
Imagine my absolute delight, jubilation even, at discovering that the Drema Top from Lolly Clothing has tumbholes! I don't have to hold my long sleeves in place, they stay thanks to this feat of modern clothing engineering! So, spoiler alert, it's still summer temps in L.A. so I paired this incredibly soft top with my favorite things in my closet. I got this skirt 2 years ago at a consignment store in my hometown and I have worn it until the lining has ripped away. I love this top and skirt paired together, because the grey to white ombre stands stark against the moody blues and earth tones below. Also, the pleating in the skirts lets my live out my 90s-schoolgirl-Dione-and-Cher fashion dreams. I also threw on my olive J.Crew jacket to round out the outfit...and also because I like to pretend it's 60 degrees outside. My current go-to Seychelles sandals were perfect with keeping the neutral line of tones in this look.
